High Blood Pressure Readings

High blood pressure is also called hypertension, and the initial range of blood pressure values which are called pre-hypertension are 120-139 mm Hg (Systolic) and 80-89 mm Hg (Diastolic). The high blood pressure values at condition or stage 1 hypertension is 140-159 mm Hg (Systolic) and 90-99 mm Hg (Diastolic). The blood pressure reading corresponding to stage 2 Hypertension is pressure in excess of 160 mm Hg (Systolic) and 100 mm Hg (Diastolic). This is the high blood pressure scale.
Low Blood Pressure Readings
Some people suffer from low blood pressure, which is also called hypotension. Hypotension indicates a weak heart condition. The range of blood pressure readings considered as low blood pressure in an adult is any reading less than 90 mm Hg (Systolic) and 60 mm Hg (Diastolic).
The above blood pressure scale ranges are approximiate only. You should take regular blood pressure readings, especially if you have been diagnosed with a heart condition.
